ABOUT USDuring my time in the Cat Fancy I have sat on several committees, Been a delegate to the GCCF (which I still am) and managed many shows including the Croydon, Capital Long Hair, Herts and Middlesex (when it was at Alexander Palace) The Seal Point Siamese Cat Club, The Long Haired and Semi Long Haired Cat Club, the Norsk Skogkatt (of which I am President), the Maine Coon Breed Society and of course along with my husband Ron, The National Cat Club show of which I am Chairman. In 1987 I became a Probationer Judge of Birmans, and then of course a Full Judge of the Birman breed. At the time of writing it is 2007: I am now a Full Judge of Maine Coons, Turkish Van, Somalis, Norwegian Forest, Ragdolls, Egyptian Mau, Bengals, and Singapuras. All patched group Persians (bi colours, torties, tortie and white, blue creams, lilac cream) and am a Probationer Judge on the Self Group. Being my passion I have only ever bred seal and blue point Birmans. In 1999 Ron and I formed the Seal and Blue Point Birman Cat Club of which we are both Patrons, and I am the Chairman. This club has gone from strength to strength due to the dedication of its loyal membership and hard working committee. It is now 34 years since I owned my first Birman. Sadly things are much different to when I first started in Birmans, but fortunately the main thing the Sacred Birman remains my dearest passion Carol Pike |
